The airport of Rome “Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci" is the main national airport, second in Rome is the Ciampino airport in Rome, with over 38 million passengers annually.
The Leonardo da Vinci airport has four terminals (A, AA, B, and C) reserved for national flights, also international and intercontinental flights. Instead, the airport of Rome Ciampino, located in the part south-east of Rome, not far from the GRA, is a city airport that absorbs most of the traffic of low cost airlines to major European destinations. It takes about fifteen kilometres from Ciampino airport.
The connection to the city is provided by a network of buses Atral (group Cotral), bus shuttle, Terravision linking Ciampino to the central station of Termini with frequencies of half an hour. Alternative connections are possible using the network of city buses linking the airport to the railway station and Ciampino Anagnina subway stop (line A - Anagnina / Terms / Battistini).
