Originally it was the country estate of a Roman noble family, it still retains the charm of the Eternal City. Very good preserved it takes a 144 hectares area.
Villa Pamphilj keeps alive the many transformations between the '600 and '800. Among the changes, the most significant was certainly the opening of Via Leo XIII, also known as "Via Olimpica". in occasion of 1960 Olympic Games this park was divided in two parks : the eastern one , richest about monuments and historical gardens, and the western part, mare interesting from a natural point of view. Also villa Doria Pamphilj is the representative seat of the Italian Government.
