Valle dell' Aniene Natural Reserve Rome

The Natural Reserve of Valle dell' Aniene is a natural area protected by the Lazio Regione, located in the north-east of Rome.
It takes 650 hectares along the course of urban river Aniene from the GRA (the ring road that runs around the city of Rome) to the confluence with the river Tiber. The urban stretch dell’ Aniene is characterized by a considerable length and many bends. The river has a very  different landscapes and it's the border of different districts such as  La Rustica, Tor Cervara, Tor Sapienza, Colli Aniene, Ponte Mammolo, Casal de 'Pazzi, Petrolatum, Monte Sacra.
The park stretches along both banks of the river. Within its territory can be identified three areas of great natural importance: the wet area of the cerebellum, the River riparian area, the dry  valley. The combination of the 3 local associations "historical" relating to those three areas was in 1999, thank to Aniene Onlus, the same year that manages the park on behalf of Regional RomaNatura .
