Campo de' Fiori Rome

Campo de’ Fiori is a privileged meeting- point for the young’s nightlife in Rome. It is the only square in Rome without a church. Located between Via dei Giubbonari and Piazza della Cancelleria, at the end of the district Parione and Regola, Campo dei Fiori had its beginning at the half of '400 when Pope Callisto III got the zone paved inside a bigger restoration plan of the area, also in Campo dei Fiori started hotels, inns, artisan’s stores because of the prosperous horse- market, so the are turned into a commercial and cultural centre.
In Campo dei Fiori stands a bronzed monument dedicated to Giordano Bruno, philosopher and friar, who was burnt alive after being charged of heresy. From the end of '800 inside the square you see a vivid and colourful market got famous by the movie “Campo dei Fiori “ starring Anna Magnani and Aldo Fabrizi .
