The Trevi Fountain Rome
The Trevi Fountain Rome
The Trevi Fountain is the biggest and most suggestive fountain in Rome and among the most famous in the world. Designed by Niccolò Salvi in the XVIII century, Trevi Fountain is at the end of the ancient aqueduct of the “Acqua Vergine” ("Virgin Water") and it is a symbol of life, wealth and change.
Is charme is amplified by the contrast between its volume and the small square that hosts it. It seems that almost compress it and it’s impossible turns it around such as the case for all other fountains. Really important is the tradition linked to the coin, you have to throw it turning your back to the fountain to be sure to come back to Rome. Also “the right way” is throwing the coin over your own left shoulder.
