Pantheon Rome

The word Pantheon (from Greek: παν, pan, "all" e θεόν, theon, "gods") has a double meaning, as a religious structure and as the group of gods of a specific religion.
There are other two in London and in Paris. Pantheon in Rome was built in devotion to the seven ancient planetary gods (Sun, Moon, Venus, Saturn, Jupiter, Mercury and Mars).
From the VII century the Pantheon become a catholic church named Santa Maria ad Martires. The roman nickname was La Ritonna (“the circle”)and the square, Piazza della Rotonda got the name from this.
