The International Airport of Prague Ruzyne –PRG- is situated in the periphery of the city, at 20 km north west from the center. The Ruzyne is the biggest airport of the Czech Republic and of eastern Europe. In only five years the airport doubled its capacity of the reception of passengers, and in 2005 it was amongst the 20 most important airports of Europe. Inside, other then the information desk, there are offices for the renting of cars and the booking of hotels. You can also find restaurants, a conference hall, and many travel agencies. The airport, that is divided into 4 terminals (Terminal North 1, Terminal North 2, Terminal South 1, Terminal South 2), has an annual average of 11 million passengers, and around 250 flights pass through it every day. 20 km away from the city, the airport is well connected by public transports (buses), with shuttles that leave every 20 / 30 minutes. The 119 line connects the airport with the subway stop Dejuika. The minibus service instead connects the airport with the central square of the city Namesti Republicky.
