Peace Square - Prague
Situated in the prestigious residential district of Vinohrady, in Prague 2, this square contains the Church of Saint Ludmilla (in neo gothic style), built in between 1888 and 1893. Important artists, such as Josef Vaclav Myslbek, who did the statue of Saint Venceslao (found in the Venceslao Square, in proximity of the National Museum), worked on it. Moreover within the square we can admire one of the most famous antique theatres of Prague, the Vinohrady theatre. Also worth visiting is the National House of Vinohrady, a neo renaissance building dating back to 1894. In the proximities there are the two most important parks of the city, the Riegrovy Sady Park (from which you can admire a beautiful view of the Prague Castle) and the Havlickovy Sady Park (characterized by the Grobe Villa, a magnificent example of a neo renaissance villa). The Peace Square is one of the main sites of interest of the city. Inside the Prague Accommodations Search Engine you will find rates, informations and maps about the Hotels in Prague 2.
