Havlickovy Sady Park - Prague
Havlickovy Sady Park - Prague
This park, Havlickovy Sady, is the second biggest park in Prague and it is found, like the Riegrovy Sady Park, in the Vinohrady district (prestigious residential area of Prague, rich with examples of different architectonic styles that go fro the Art Nouveau to the neo renaissance and neo gothic one). Symbol of the park is the Grobe Villa, example of a renaissance villa that was once the summer house of the industrialist Moritz Grobe. Because of its proximity to the Riegrovy Sady, also from here you can easily reach the National Museum, situated in the higher part of Venceslao Square (the most important square of the city) and Charles Square, where you can admire the City Hall of the New City, the Church of Saint Ignatius (Jesuit Church in a baroque style that dates back to 1671) and the Faust House, that occupies the southwestern part of the square.
