Prague National Technical Museum

The National Technical Museum in Prague was founded by a team of professors of the technical university.  The first collection was showed in 1910, in the Schwarzenberg ad Hradcany  palace.  In 1935 the current site of the museum was built close to the Letna, and it represents one of the most beautiful examples of Czech modern art.   Only the 15% of the 58.000 objects are exposed and amongst these there is the first Czech car and many other rare objects.  The library of the National Technical Museum holds 250.000 books that are made available for educational means.  The museum is open from 9:00 to 17:00 every day apart from Mondays.  In the proximities there is the Troja Castle, the Tesla Arena and the Praha Holesovice Station.
