Mucha Museum - Prague

Situated in the Baroque Kaunicky palace, in the heart of Prague (in the Old City), the Mucha Museum is dedicated to the Czech artist, Art Nouveau style,  Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939).  A selection of over 100 works of art, amongst paintings, drawings, pictures, lithographs and personal memorabilia, allow us to enter the world of the artist.  Great attention is given to the period of his most famous works, when he was in Paris (1887-1904).  Another part of the works form a special section of the exhibit: the ones he did when he returned in Czechoslovakia.  The last part of the museum is dedicated to the reconstruction of his study in Paris, that includes pictures and original furniture.  Open every day from 10:00 to 18:00.  In its proximities there is the Old City Square (in which the Tyn Church is situated) and the Klementium National Library.
