Prague 1 Area

For commodity Prague was divided into 10 areas.  Prague 1 is the central area of the city.  Divided in other 4 districts it includes: Mala Strana, the Old City, the Jewish district (Josefov), and the area of the Prague Castle.  In this area you can find most of the main sites of interest, such as the Mala Strana Square, the Church of Saint Nicholas (amongst the most beautiful churches of Prague), Petrin (hill on which there is the homonym park), the Jewish district with its synagogues and the cemetery, the Astronomical Clock, the National Theater and many other attractions.   At night there are two night clubs: the Duplex and the Karlovy-Lazne (one of the biggest and most famous of Europe).  Two musts of the area are the Museum of Communism and the Cathedral of Saint Vito, wonderful example of Gothic art.
