Subway in Berlin

Amongst the most efficient and oldest of Europe, the Berlin subway (U-Bahn), together with the S-bahn, offers an excellent service to the Berliners and the tourists.  
The Untergrundbahn of Berlin, is made up of 9 lines that pass through more than 150 stops below the city surface. 
The S-Bahn instead operates on the surface and it counts up to 15 lines, amongst which the Ringbahn. 
Both the S-Bahn and the U-Bahn, are distinguished by a letter, U and S. 
The company that runs the subway is the BVG.
