The Sony Center is one of the most famous buildings of Berlin, situated in the futuristic Potsdammer Platz. Symbol of the new Berlin, the Sony Center was commissioned by the Sony to the architect Helmut Jahn, and it opened in 2000, after almost four years of works. With its 26000 square meters of surface within the Tiergarten district, the Sony Center forms an attraction in the center of Berlin, managing to attract around eight million visitors a year. Not to forget, in fact, is that the Sony Center is one of the spaces that hosts the Berlin film festival, also known as the Berlinale. The center of the Sony is located in one of the seven futuristic buildings in front of the Philarmonie of Berlin.
