Potsdamer Platz Berlin

Situated in the Tiergarten District, Potsdamer Platz represents a must of the German capital and above all an icon of the Neue Berlin. 
This is explained well in the movie “The sky above Berlin” of W. Wenders that depicts a desolated Potsdamer Platz that has nothing to do with its present aspect.
Once Germany was reunified and the Berlin Wall was definitively demolished, the square was reconstructed both under a structural aspect and a cultural one, starting from the concert “The Wall” of 1990. 
The reconstruction of the Potsdammer platz was commissioned to the Italian architect Renzo Piano. 
In the Potsdamer Platz, that is a meeting point of the German capital, you can admire sites of elevated historical and cultural interest, such as the Kulturforum, the Neue Natinalgalerie or the Sony Center and the Philarmonie.
