Charlottenbourg Castle Berlin
Amongst the historical buildings of Berlin, the Charlottenburg Castle is surely the most prestigious and imposing of the whole city. Situated within the Charlottenburg District, the castle is built as a majestic edifice in baroque style, as it can be seen from the external court.
Built at the end of the XVII century, it was named after Sophie Charlotte, legitimate consort of Frederick III of Brandenburg.
The Charlottenburg Castle appears today as a marvelous edifice although it has been seriously damaged during the world war two.
A must within the castle, is the Porzellankabinett, a gallery of the mirrors in which porcelains coming from China and Japan are displayed.
